FS: Brand New Iron Horse 7.7 Frame - 19"
I'm selling a new, never built 19" Iron Horse 7.7 frame with 5th Element coil shock. I've thought about building it, but it's too big for me.

It comes with a Cane Creek S2 reducer HS, a Mega Exo (?) BB and Race Face Evolve DH seatpost - all included parts are new, but the seatpost has been cut down. It also comes with a set of replacement pivots bolts and bearings.
More photos here.

how much can you realistically build a bike like this up for? seen some good deals on 7" forks on KSL and such, i know wheels aren't cheap though and shit adds up fast.

I would just build it up as a 1x9 if you aren't going to be pedaling it that much. I would plan on spending around $800.00 plus the price of the frame. Probably could do it for less, but then you might have issues down the line(brakes, fork, wheels, etc).
Estimates of Used Prices
Fork $200.00
Wheels $150.00
Crank $50.00
Pedals $30.00
Stem $15.00
Handlebars $20.00
Shifter $40.00
Deraileur $50.00
Seat $20.00
Brakes $100.00
Tires 40.00
Chain(new) $20.00
Cassette $30.00

I can probably kick in a handlebar and cassette. And probably some well worn tires tires too.

it'd be my only bike, maybe spend some more on the chainrings and do 2x9ish, but if i could do it for a grand which sounds reasonable according to jtrue than i'm probably in. drunk but i'll give ya a ring or pm again tomorrow inspector, sounds like maybe we have a deal. what size handlebar do you have? how much for those extras?

Cool!
I also have a SDG I-Beam saddle and seatpost that fits with an adaptor. I have no idea if it's the right size, model, etc., but I have a little used XT front derailleur too. If you wind up buying a fork with a 1.5 steer tube, I have a stem or two. I can't get you all the way to a complete bike, but I've got some pieces-parts you'll need.
I'll be happy to show you what I have and we can settle on a price for the package.Don’t race. Leave that to the scorchers.

True, I know Iron Horse is no more, thus the warranty remark.
IG, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this thier DH race frame?
If that's the case Nate I'd prolly rather do 1X9 with a chainguide on this thing. Especially if you build it up on the cheap, read: heavy, you're not gonna wanna pedal it uphill. Seems like an 8" fork would be a better match too.
Sick bike either way. There's nothing better than sliding down snow and flying through the air.

The Sunday and all its variations is IH's downhill rig; I believe the 7.7 is more the freeride frame.
Don’t race. Leave that to the scorchers.

^ That's right. I owned the smaller "trail" bike version with the same linkage and it pedaled really well. If you keep the weight in the mid 30s this probably wouldn't be that bad of a do it all bike.

yeah i have read that the 7points are good pedalers for what they are, sundays don't really interest me. i'm not looking for an xc or all mountain bike, i really don't have fun doing that. something that'll get me up the quarry trail, up to bobsled, can be pushed to the crest, rail at i street and will kick ass going down. this sounds right. IG i'm working but i'll try to get in contact with you sometime today.
