How about taking up a collection here to pay for the removal of the femur and knee of the CEO of Salomon. Then perhaps that fine gentleman might understand what it means to make products upon which people stake their lives.

you don't necessarily need to use your real name and info
I have a wasatch powder skis account because I see I benefit in the social marketing aspect of it. Yet don't need people who I didn't even care for in high school friending me to tell me there eating bon bons or washing their car or god forbid hit me up for imaginary farm animals

Bumping for TC. He's having a knee reconstruction type surgery today. Was in great spirits on Sunday when I saw him but I am sure deep down this surgery was lurking in his thoughts. Good luck today D. Thoughts and prayers are with you. You are one step closer to recovery. Hugs to you and N today.

thanks everyone for the wishes. And yes BS, leg and spirits were indeed doing fine on Sunday, for the first time since the accident. The pain was down and the leg looked more like I remember my leg looking like. But was definitely dreading this surgery cause I knew it would undo a lot of the healing that I have done. And sure enough I was right, leg is swollen like hell again the pain has fully returned. What a pain in the ass this is. I was weeping the like a little girl when I woke up from the bone grafting. They had to inject a nerve numbing agent because the pain was entirely too much for me to deal with. But on a dilauded drip now and relaxing and things have stabilized pain wise.
Surgeon also said he was able to get the majority of the grafting done and I should only need the this fixator for another month, which admittedly is much longer then I thought it was going to be. The fixator is the biggest pain in the ass about this. The friggin pin heads just push and pull on the skin and bone constantly. So counting the days, at least it would allow a little more normalcy in my recovery by not having it in there. People freak the fuck out when they see it. Once the grafting is done then on to the ligaments and tendons, then PT and hopefully walking again. Probably missing a bunch, but I am cross eyed and painless right now, so cohesive thoughts escape me

Good luck TC. Hang on. Think about the day when the fixator will be gone.

Glad to hear things went well with the bone graft surgery. Try to curb the weed smokin' (if thats yer thing) 'till the graft takes completely, ok? As much fun as it is mixed with the pain meds, smoking can slow down the bone growth.
External fixators are for badasses only and can be extremely useful. Try hanging your grabber on it while you drag yourself from bed > couch, etc!
Keep your spirits up and keep working towards a full recovery.
