Forgive me...I ride there all the time and only know the names of three trails. However, This new trail....is up the midway road. You go past the Horse trough trail...keep climbing about 10 min and its on your left marked by a rock on the ground. Not sure when this trail was put in, but I just learned about it and ride out there a lot. Either way...whoever did the work should be commended!

Then some new features were put in on the lower trail with all of the banks and jumps (Ginormous?). This trail pops out on "HubCap" a little bit before the car ride. I would think most of this work was done at the end of last season.

Latest beta on Rim Trail is (Even before this snow) once you climbed up from Mtn View to the bench, you go right into waist deep snow! I think Rim is out for weeks.

Well, maybe this weekend a few laps at Prince Creek will be in order... should dry out fairly quickly down there.

Even after all the moisture last week Prince Creek was prime Sunday. I have never seen it so tacky, even all the usually loose corners. I bet its in great shape tonight or tomorrow.

Basalt Mountain isn't quite ready yet (not that I really thought it would be). You can get 3 miles up the road until you hit too much snow... then the 1937 trail has snow in the valley still, made for an adventure.

Prince Creek is prime right now. Props to whoever has been doing all the trailwork up there. Some fun new features on Ginormous.

OK, the new trail above ginormous is just so sick it's not even fair. If you are coming into town for chili and brew you should stop in carbondale on your way in and ride Prince Creek.

And I never rode to the top of the Crown before, so we did that last night too... about 1800' vert from where you park bellow the cattle guard.

1st half of the Rim trail is dry all the way to Sinclare rd. Also the work road going to the top of the Gondola is dry.

I've ridden a trail from the top of the crown through an aspen grove that you could tie in to Father of Ginormous. I don't know if I could find it again but it's off the left side of the road as you are coming down from the top of the crown.

Also, rode Cherry Creek last night. There are still some snow patches in the top shaded sections, and there is a fair bit of deadfall. We cleaned up what we could by hand but it still needs a lot of work. That being said, it was worth it. Good shreds were had.

Also, Bear Creek to Forest Hollow to Scout is $$$ right now. Arounds 5 deadfall crossings but its in great shape other than some bad rutting in the descent to Bear Creek.

There are a few trails up there, not as maintained as some of the lower ones... we just rode the road half way back down...

    Where is cherry creek?

Cherry creek is off of Buford Rd N of New Castle. Kind of a haul from Glenwood, let alone Aspen. However its a 2000' vert shuttle descent with a good variety of flow and a few rock gardens. You could pedal up the road if you are in to that sort of thing.

Forest Hollow got cleared out last night by a canadian buddy who goes back to canada tomorrow. Go figure. No more deadfall crossings.

Next time I go to Cherry Creek I will have to brings my chainsaw.

Keep us updated on the upvalley trail conditions as they melt out. I think Hay Park may be good to go soon.

I rode it early season last year and it is really fun, but there is a section of some pretty aweful mud. As the season goes on the trail gets a lot of horse traffic and ends up getting torn apart. I wish it received a little TLC and the horses rode elsewhere.

Rode Basalt Mountain again last night, got 6ish miles up (not really positive), probably around .5-1 mile from the top... anyway, rode back down the road and dropped in on another trail that was super fun... a little greasy through the middle, but super fun.
