So, it looks like there is even more going on...two road hill climbs (Sat. Targhee, Sunday Teton pass) and one Mt. hill climb Teton pass) *possibly* the Norco demo team and fleet, and now a rumor of Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzman playing at the Spud drive in that same weekend...Nucking Futz!!!

Bump because I am back...and this thing is happening.
Any questions/suggestions?

Why? Why? Why? I want to be here so bad, but already have lodging booked at Whistler that week
.

Good luck, this is going to be great. Between this and the money going into trails here this summer I may never need to go up to Whistler again.
Thanks to Ride-it, Fitzy and everyone else for making this happen.

Thread bump...because we are talking about a Targhee Super-D this coming summer for the next Wydaho Festival.
This could be ridiculous fun...Take chair up to top, shred to base on the 'DH' trails (all doable on whatever you brung), then up to lightning ridge, then down to the valley floor on Mill Creek. Could be over 3500 foot descent, shuttles back up to the hill. Rinse, and repeat.
This could be the 'anchor' to the festival for the folks that are into huge fun over deadly serious competition.
More to come, but in the meantime, I would like to make a post of all of the people that would consider this as a destination for nest summer. Keep in mind we will also be hosting rides all over the valley, including DH shredding on Teton Pass.
Who would be into this?
(all of the above cool things will be present as well, with much, much more this year for the actual festival)
Gonna be great.

Well zippidydoodahh!
That sounds like fun. A couple of days of gravity induced giggles! I'd certainly consider it as a summer trip. Unfortunately the logistics would probably take it out of the realm of possibility

Logistics? We are going to have gobs of demos, if everything goes according to plan. So, no bike needed! Also, there are clubs and spas, dump the wife and kids, and just come ride during the day.
Problem solved.

Heh! I forget that the valley has "grown up."
Are you kidding? They wouldn't allow that! We go DH'n a couple of times a year, all three of them love it. One of my girls ought to be keeping up pretty well by next summer
Demos puts it closer to possible. Gonna keep this event on the radar for sure.

Sounds fun to me, but the Utah series will be my priority, as I guess it will for many around here.
There's nothing better than sliding down snow and flying through the air.

This is exactly the info we need to know to make this a success. I will post dates later today. ( firm)

Beatered, are the Utah series dates posted up yet?

Nope, they're usually pretty late on that stuff. I think it was march last year. Ten all the dates got changed due to the late winter so IDK...

We already have the dates firm, it is either the second or third weekend of July. Usually the best temps of the year, and usually hero dirt.

Sounds fun. I'm down for some quasi-competitive Super D action, complete with lift access and shuttles. 3500 of vert is also pretty rad. I'm sure I could rally a handful of others from ye olde Bozeman.

Looks like this is going to happen this year!
But more like 4700' of vert per lap!

I would suggest reaching out to Salamander Promotions and Go-Ride and ask them to coordinate your respective dates. I'm send you a PM with a phone number for Salamander contact.
Don’t race. Leave that to the scorchers.
