2003 Utah Maggot Summit Pics
Just found an old disk of shots from the 2003 Maggot Summit in Utah.
Seven years ago. These are the core of the maggot culture; the obnoxious fucks who started the attitude, who made TGR what it is now,
though not all of them are comfortable with all the new talent that has come on board. Maybe they just have better things to do.
This is from back when the club was small.

Holy blast from the past. Those were indeed the days, a bygone era never to be repeated. Thanks.

Those are some of the first pics I saw on the Powder forum. Recognize many of those faces from the years since them. Been too long since I've seen most of them. Way to bring back the good old days, Splat.
I rarely tele.

Bat Cave at Alta
I remember wishing I was there. I made it to the following year, but conditions weren't nearly as good. It's funny seeing phUnk like that. He's a good 400 pounds now, wears an eye patch and has a beard down to his balls...or so I heard.

For the record, I met Stoy, GT40 and MD9 waaaaay back in the day. 2002-2003. Never was really friends with them, but we talked once about TGR forums. First mags I've ever met. Skied many times with Stoy for a season or two long time ago.
Over the years (and probably even just yesterday) I've met tons of maggots. I guess I just never really wanted to join the official "off-the-net-club". Maybe this season... we'll see.
If you haven't figured out by now, I used to live in Utah, and I used to ski Snowbasin, Alta, and Snowbird... a lot.

Holy time warp, Batman!
With Stoy, or near Stoy? I skied near him and the MD family at Snowbasin not long after arriving in UT, and the first thing I saw him do was front flip off a windlip in Porc Cirque. I realized I had to step up my game quite a bit if I was going to try that again...so I ran off and skied Solitude for most of the season until I was ready to hang with, or at least near, the rest of the crew.
Other random highlights of the early years:
-Hood July 4 trips
-"Maggot Chute"
-Giant group rides on Toad's on ridiculously inadequate bicycles (including at least one rigid)
-phUnk's lush backyard jungle
-Flame wars over Pocket Rockets and whether DINMS was funny or retarded
-JinXover
-Watching DTM explode his Tankers on a hairball line in Lower Castle
-Telenater and DJSapp still skied, Bum Z and powho still posted

Toaster.
I remember an amazing .gif of Xover's cackling head floating over a map of the southwest and pushing weather systems away from Utah- who made that thing?
I didn't make Utah or BC, but attended the '04 Summit and of course the '02 East Coast mini, which was me, basom, a high school aged Kush, Hardrider, and Gincognito. And maybe Noodles, can't remember. In the long run, we're all dead.- John Maynard Keynes

I still have a disposable camera in my basement that hasn't been developed. Should be a few pictures from the 03 BC summit on there, might have to get that developed this weekend.
