    Darkest goggle lense available?

I use Smith Sol-X (10% VLT) on really bright days and could actually use something darker.

Do any snow goggles come with a darker lense or am I just that much of a weirdo?

I haven't tried many different brands. (really only have experience with Oakleys).

For me and my light-sensitive eyes, Oakley fire lens is best for full on bluebird days, much better than black iridium.

Oakley site says 16% for fire iridium and 18% for black iridium.
I doubt light transmissions are comparable across brands.

Looks like they have a 14% option in the VR28 Black iridium.

Interested in the answer here. My pansy eyes don't handle brightness well either.

Oakley polarized black iridium lenses are super dark, more so than Fire I think.

    use the force.

Perhaps you'd be more comfortable on epicski or Paula's Ski Lovers, AltaNancy.

JULBO has a line of sunglasses specially made for high-altitude mountaineering that are super dark, only 2-3 % VLT. I have a pair I bought for Denali, glass lenses, nose cover, pretty well thought out. Expensive though. (note: these things are WAY too dark for everyday use, like driving a car.)

google JULBO and see if they make a line of goggles too.

    Word.

Dunno what the light transmission stats are, but Julbo makes Category 4 (aka glacier glasses equivalent) goggles. They even have a photochromic pair that go from yellow to cat 4.

I have Gold Mirror Sol-X. On a bluebird Colorado day like today I feel like I could have been at a 2% VLT.

I got both the Oakley fire iridium lens and the Grey polarized lens for my crowbars and they are both pretty damn dark. Just a little more glare with the fire lens cause they are not polarized but the lens shade(not the iridium coating) is actually a bit darker than the grey polarized lens!
Just fucking point it and shut up
