Google Ski View
google came out with a ski view showing different trails around whistler. its pretty limited but has potential if they expand it like they did with street view, its worth checking out.

dayum ... I wonder how recent those shots were taken.
Cypress just isn't inspiring confidence right now. Does it look ready to host the Olympic halfpipe contest in 8 days?On first

fwiw, I don't really expect them to expand it, it was more of a special feature for the olympics - part of Google.com/games10
edited to add clarification from google:
Ski view snowmobile imagery comes from early-December 2009.
Snowmobile was built esp. w/ the Vancouver Games in mind, but interest in other ski/snowboard venues may make them consider future opps..
No other updates of the Vancouver/Whistler roads (pictures that were obviously taken during spring/summer) planned during the Games - just pics on the Picasa album & from Goog news.Last edited by skiguide; 02-09-2010 at 06:57 PM.

I remember them sledding around, early to mid December would be about right. They could only go on 'green' grades, because they needed to control the speed of the sled so the camera was able to operate correctly.
Pretty cool though.

I used it this morning and it looks to be pretty accurate, except I didn't see any Canadian hookers and I know that they're up there somewhere.

I saw it a few days ago. It's pretty cool, but it is very limited so far, shame they didn't do more trails, or the easier blacks that are located there. The snowmobile they used could traverse that stuff very quickly.
