Similarly, I also got some strange looks when I skied a midwest mountain on an 8 degree powder night.

Not your fault Pat! Just a bummer way for them to go. I could've prevented it by not being a beater

I've just put a pair of 191cm carbon hybrid Llasa Pow's up for sale in Gear Swap with only 20 days on them.

    Edit: Skis now sold.

Hi, if you still have these, how much are you asking, what shape are they in, which flex, bindings or flat and any other answers the questions of which I can't think of at the moment. I love my stiff 174s and also my 179 Lhasa hybrids. My Lhasas were demos with no graphics, all black, I like that look.

Got change for a nickel? You can just make out the nickels in the tips of the Nickel Bro prototypes, my first Bro Model skis. It was always fun at the Timberline summer summits, especially when Pat would show up with a carload of ski prototypes to test and demo. I ran into Pat down there one summer and he offered to replace the Nickel Bros under warranty even though I wasn't the original purchaser. He gave me the choice of waiting for the 179 Bros to be finished or to get the stiff 174 right away. The latter was my choice and it made me happy in the pants, ski pants that is. Couple years later I got the demo hybrid 179 Lhasas for a great price, couldn't afford full price. Those two are all I ski on and with lots of days on the 174 they are still going strong. I've hit some things that I was sure would do damage but the skis don't seem to notice. Got the Lhasas with base repairs and they are holding up well also. Despite right knee and back problems slowing me down I love skiing on those skis. I've been honored to be connected in the very small way I have been for the life of PMGear. Thanks for everything Pat and we all hope the Vashon bru ha ha gets settled to your satisfaction. And while I may or may not have your attention Pat, it'd be great to see you at BBI17 next Feb.

Damn, guys, brings a tear to my eyes.....

The Vashon shitshow got settled. I have molds for the 186 and 191 Lhasas, the 184 Byas and almost everything needed for a mix of 50 pairs of those skis. I'll prolly find someone to hire or find a way to get them pressed as hybrids. The carbons are just too hard for people to grasp the intricacies of the construction. Perhaps a minor resurrection can happen at some point this season. The Byas are stone cold killers. I skied them the last two seasons and just fukkin loved them.

Kinda funny to see this thread. Captain Powder sent me an email today in response to a mail I sent him in 2006 asking for feedback on the Lhasa Pow topsheets. md9 so did the best of jobs on those. Thanks, Jared.

    Lhasa Pow Stoke

My 186 Lhasa pow fats with reverse camber mold from kusala are the best ski I have ever skied. So fast in the trees and stable at speed. It was was great to ski with you at mammoth for a few runs pat.
Hope it works out for you and if you press another 186 fat in kusala mold I'm in for em. But either way I will ski these as long as possible even with 15 holes in em.Name: ImageUploadedByTGR Forums1471276136.232321.jpg

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues
