    Incognito spew/review

    What a bummer.

-I think Nat's got some great footage, and definitely found amazing terrain this year but by far, the editing on this film is so unprofessional it ruined the experience.
-jerky filming, little blips and clips that don't have a skier, or anything scenic in them, clips held too long after action's done, which kills the stoke. ???!!
-intro was a fine idea with the smoking guns/mafia bit, but so drawn out. wait it wasn't even a good idea. it's been done. or things like it.
-Rails. Most of the stunts looked like these guys were only just learning. Mancini, Pete, Brian Moon, Luke and others. . .all these guys can do much better stuff and it's been proven in other films.

Please, let the film not be finished. They must have rushed it for last night's show.

    good stuff:

+lots of pow footage. they definitely delivered some great days.

+spine lines and other wicked terrain choices. lots of stuck air. lots of steep ass, bold short lines. lots of big mtn lines too, but I want to see some Frod Gronvold-fast flashes. THAT's the goods.

+A chick does a 20ft. front flip on a big line, on tele, and sticks, THEN skis her route with faster bigger turns than many of the boys. Way to kill it.
I think she's really young too, if it was the asian teen girl at the premiere. Cheezus, she looked 14 there.

+long film. tons of prOn. great seggies at the end after the credits.

+ NOT ONLY does this Norwegian guy do switch powder tele turns. . . He STICKS multiple cliffs and continues to run switch tele turns. HERE, the editing was right ON. gotta show those turns afterwards and they did. way to go, Nat.
odd, the norveejuns. . .better than ANY of the americans segments what are all the sponsored guys.

    Conclusion:

If you want sheer spine line, cliff drop stoke prOn, this is it. But wait til they release the DVD and hopefully edit a ton.

I'm watching the Norwegians and swedes tele flicks this year, maybe ordering. The Swedish Posse, all that kaschnizzle. They also don't draw such a distinction between alpine, board, and tele. All the same damn sport anyway. And if this norwegian or two in Incognito is any indication, the euros and maybe a little of Josh Murphy's flick "The Lost Season" have bIgger turns, bigger lines, more speed, sticking bigger, faster air.

see my "trailer trash, ohfo" post with all this years american/euro films for the goods.

I was there last night, too.

I was skunked on the raffle, again. Damnit.

I also thought the film was a little weak. It seemed like 20 minutes went by before I saw a single tele turn. Guys were ripping technical lines, but alpine turning out of situations where a tele turn would've been sweet.

Those skiers had lots of balls, and they're good at rails, but there's only so much rail jibbing I can take. It almost seemed like these kids are just jibbers who decided to try it on tele gear, e.g. I wonder what they do outside of the park.

Editing and camera work was decent, but frankly a little amateurish. Film looks so much better than digital.

That gal's name is Taiga Young. She's a bad ass. Some of the bonus footage at the end of the flick was better than the actual content of the movie.

However, even a below average ski flick is still a ski flick, so I liked it. Also, Nat is an absolute ultra endurance stud. And, I know one of the guys starting that flylow company, they have some stylin' duds. The 'I heart apres' shirt is hilarious, and I grabbed a retro hat with a big ass ball on top. He told me that they're making the 'I heart apres' shirts in a technical base layer, so when you get to the bar, you strip off your gear, and that's what's left. Clever.

    I give it a C+.

Have to agree with you on several points. Biggest irk was the editing, especially clips running too long, showing a skier just sliding around after a hit, etc. Also, a little too much sub par telejibbing.

I thought the best part of the movie was the two trailer segments. I thought the skiing and editing was much better.
A lot of people earn their turns. Some just get bigger checks.

unless there's a sexual innuendo there, i'm not catching the hliarious bit on "I heart apres". Someone jong me, here. . .

Nat is an incredible athlete. He's also pretty good at promotion. and he's got some fun film out, but what happened this year?

I'm not in it for just the mere porn. I need stuff to grow. I need folks to see what the hell's going on in tele these days. folks is good.

I want folks to see what telejibbers and big mtn freaks can do. I regularly scream around on my tele's having a blast in the park and on the mtn. ripping some decent lines. blurred saw me last year, trying a switch cliff, etc. I want to grow to be like these kids. These are my hereos. I don't care if I'm 28.

People should see more of this. The really good guys, nutters doing 40 foot lincoln's in Josh's films, folks throwing not just the millionth three in the park on tele, but misty 7's, switch zerospins, huge tables, and alaska turns, straightlines, switch cliffy's, all that stuff.

It's out there. There's tons of really good tele heads on this board doing this. Just no one talks about it. teletips has a telejib board. I don't want to see that here. I just want to see some clips of regular dorks like me, trying to stick it, promoting the sport as progressing. .. ..no, gawd that word is overused. Just taking it higher, harder, faster, sicker.

Let's just see some promotion of the sport, some ripper big mtn jibs, etc. Some of that Taiga/Norveejun switch cliffy stuff. C'mon you hosers! I want some class act film!
