    Lightbulb Blizzard/License ski fashion

With the rerelease of the classic Stumpy DVDs I feel the need to bring back the hideous 80s ski fashion.

If anyone knows where to get these, or has any of them for sale, post here. I'll comb the Castro area thrift stores tonight and see what I can cum up with.

    - The transparent white windbreaker, as worn by Hattrup
    - Green, blue and red one-piece, also worn by Hattrup
    - Black and Yellow TNF one piece (Schmidty)
    - The blue and yellow TNF one piece, also worn by Schmidty
    - anything by "club a sportswear"
    - Baby-blue Plake pants
    - Vomit-green Plake pullover

I used to have a sweet pair of Nevica pants that were the baby blue, but a bit shiny for extra 80's strength. Unfortunately they have gone way of the ski swap, and are no more......
Probly have a Bula band or two in the bottom of the bag, and I damn sure still have a pair of Scott WC's that are neon green and black.

Anybody still have a manky pair of hot chillies, stewing at the bottom of a ski bag?

Has any of you ordered those DVDs ? Did they add any bonus footage or scenes to the originals?

    Thumbs up

I've still got a pair of Salomon SX91 Equipe boots knocking about at home somewhere. Team them with a pair of K2 TRCs or some Dynastar Verticals and that would be a sweet late eighties set up.

I've still got a baby-blue with hot-pink accents TNF jacket like this (but not a pullover):

    http://i13.ebayimg.com/01/i/02/ad/8a/b2_1_b.JPG

More from the LTT season I think. Damn nice jacket, just can't be seen in it anymore. My recollection is that I chose that one over the mack-daddy of hideousness, the TNF orange and pink dealio. Can't find the orange/pink, but they also made 'em in yellow/blue like this:

    http://i11.ebayimg.com/02/i/02/a5/cd/d6_1.JPG

And I don't remember it, but they had a teal/purple one too apparently:

Gotta wonder how the green-orange zips got approved. Hell, how the whole thing got approved!

I don't have that purple one, but the first blue-pink deal I could have hooked you guys up with. Actually, I somehow missed the whole "Cletus-is-cold-we'll-cover-him-in-paper-towels" part. I just came outside at one point and he was covered in paper towels. I don't think I even asked

I'll make sure to wear the blue-pink one at our next gathering.

I've got some US Ski Team issue shells from around that era. Kinda baby blue. Hows your ass? Is it small and firm or...does baby got back?

You are correct, sir. It was right after a storm in January sometime in the early 90s. It was WELL below zero, but we didn't even notice because there was so much fresh and nobody around.
So I got that goin' for me...which is nice.

Had a day just like that around that time. A Wednesday during the school break (back when Christmas break extended towards the end of January) after the so-called "Storm of the Century." Got first Tram and bombed down to Green Beret before throwing ourselves around like lemmings. Good times.

    Different angle, different day:

I would just like to clarify that I only own the blue/pink one, not all three of those.

Still, that doesn't make it right.
