Skis, boots and bindings.
I'll be spending the winter in Utah and I'm in need of new boards, bindings and skis. I'm a 48yr old advanced skier and plan on hiking and love trees and of course powder is numero uno. Although I want something that is light and all-mountain.(I'll rent some fatboys on the crazy powder days) I have no problems with steeps although I don't jump or ski as fast as I used to.(maybe with a full winter out west I'll get some of my young edge back.)
Now the question is what should I get? Is it worth getting a cross binding that will release the heal if I'm skinning or on an uphill traverse?
As far as boots I have a wide foot.
Ski's- I'm 5'9 about 195lb and ski agressively. I usually ski on a length of about 177 give or take a few.
Bindings I'm really clueless about but I set my din around 8-9.
For poles I'll just grab a couple of branches from a tree.
Thanks for the help.

For powder and variable conditions I have heard RAX skies are best.

Sometimes eating tacos is funner than eating burritos.
