help on a headache
For the last 5 days I have had an annoying headache...
The pain occurs in the front left quadrant of my head, above my eyebrow. The pain phases in and out on what seems to be like 5 min w/o pain followed by 30 seconds of sharp pain. Because it is not constant, the ache has not been a big deal but it is starting to get annoying. Ibu, alcohol, and pot have had no affect on the headache and I really would like to avoid using a lot of meds.
There hasn't been any significant changes in my lifestyle, diet, or stress levels so I don't understand the cause.
This is the first time I have had a long lasting headache like this... so im kinda a headache jong.
Anyone know the cause of a headache like this? Anyone know what type of headache it is? Anyone know how to make it stop?!?Best Skier on the Mountain

^^^^^ What splat sez; especially given the waterman avatar - (dirty) water up the sinuses can lead to this.

It's sinus. Get some OTC Advil cold and flu tablets. It's what my ENT told me was the cheapest solution. If it continues, you might have a sinus infection that requires an infection fighting herbal cure or antibiotics. I had ear/sinus infections for 15 years.

I went to my local Herb company for a similar problem. They said to stop using caffeine right away then they gave me a sinus ease compount (comes in a small bottle with a dropper) tastes nasty but once i stopped my caffeine use and got through with that my headache was put to rest (as was the strange pressure in my ear, causing constant ear popping) ....give it a shot, good luck!

Last time I had this - it was a migraine - wouldnt wish this on anyone...I did the same, days of Ibuprofen and nothing. Went to the doc and the gave me morphine and a dark room for maybe 6 hrs and it was gone...get it checked.

good point...Are you nauseous? If so then probably a migrane. Dark room is a great idea...and a cold compress on the forhead. Try out some excederine migrane, works for me when I have a migrane and can't get any percocet or any other good stuff! Hope this goes away!
I also used to get migranes quite a bit. I actually went to a chiropractor and they did some spinal work and I have not had one since. Some people think this is a croc but it reallly worked for me. Try stretching out your back on a medicine ball or hanging off the end of the bed to straighten out and crack your spine. could be a pinched nerve. have fun!

Does Jerking off help?
If not, then I suggest the full on hookers and blow treatment!

One possibility is "ice pick headache."

However, there are lots of potential causes of headache. It is impossible to be adequately diagnosed and treated over the internet. Go get it checked out.

What the neurodoc said (with a name like that, I am guessing it is good advice).
Baring that -- just go drop a BAB (Big Assed Brick -- technical term) on your toe -- you might not notice the headache anymore.
In either case, hope you are feeling better soon.Semi-professional anvil avoider and unfortunate slave to gravity.
