I can't believe you are a rando racer because I look so much better in Lycra than you.

Spent some time there last year with the sleds. It was a blast. There was talk of a Cat skiing outfit taking over a lot of the runs by Irwin Lodge beginning this winter and it would all be off limits to the public.
Anyone know if the Cat ski operation is running this year or what the status of the Cat operation is?

Irwin Backcountry Guides has successfully cleared the permit process through both the USFS and Gunnison County. Sounds like they will be up and running some time near the first of the year.
Their permit in non-exclusive, so sledding/ skiing within their permit boundary is still legal, though there will be the risk of encountering avalanche work.
