I am in the same boat. I am considering the Atomix MEX, and Sugar Daddy. Also on the list are K2 Apache Chief, Volkl Explosiv, Vlkl Gotama.

yes, indeed you are right seldon and fng
ill be the first to admit my searching skills may not be up to par. im not that lazy about research, i figured you all would be able to answer my question a lot better than some review out of ski magazine. but gosh darn it, how can a question about skiing be stupid? i mean everyone here loves talking about skiing, and i just feel really hurt that you guys couldnt swallow your pride as experience users of this online community and help a brotha in need out. you should be mentors and SHARE YOUR SKILLS IN THE ART OF SKI KNOWLEDGE with the layman and those who wish to learn... see you not the beauty of a learn-ed scholar teaching an attentive student?
bottom line:: i just wanna rip some pow on boards that will do me good, and since i look up to you guys... i thought you could help me out... and you did! thanks for showing me the error in my ways and helping me take a step towards not sucking at asking questions!

U know, the man is right. You can NOT search for 'B3' the search engine won't let you because it's too short. If you do 'Rossi B3' or 'bandit' you miss out on any of the msgs that only refer to the b3 as a b3. I had the same problem when I searched. So the search function is JONG!

Wizard, the search function can't be a JONG, JONG.

obviously there can be stupid questions if you take into account those posed by idiots who blunder through a ski shop. but, we're not in a ski shop, and im not asking you a foolish question. i was asking you how the b3 skis in comparison to other fat skis based on my preferences (which i laid out). as for my post with all the knowledges and arts, it was obviously meant to belight and humorous, and really had no need for you to reply after i admitted my search skills werent too good, and someone pointed me in the right direction. you interpereted my question as stupid and a chance to throw your weight and point out the obvious since youve posted a bunch.

as being any less demanding of peoples time or any better a question than mine? all you're doing is asking people advice in a subject you dont have a clue about. same with my situation? what? ive seen at least one or two websites about boot fitting that describe ways to increase forward lean. posting on this forum was my last thought, researching b3s all over the internet was my first.

FNG's question, on the other hand, is unique. It has not been answered before. There are clearly people here whose shit has more knowledge about ski equipment through osmosis than you and I combined could ever dream of knowing. .: FNG asks, maybe someone who knows replies with a specific, new answer, or maybe a couple of people offer suggestions based on ideas they may have.
His question was reasonable and new, yours was answered before and annoying.
Hence comes the last section of my post:

P.S: in the words of Fez when I first arrived here, if you want to survive around her for long you're gunna need a thicker skin than that. oh, and stop posting stupid shit.

C'mon, is so easy!
For what you have said of pocket rockets, IMO you will love the B3. Almost user's friendly as PR, but definitely less nooooodly. Great skis, the best I tried in 03-03 together with gotamas. But gotamas are prolly less do-it-all than B3.
I personally do not like atomic and k2 that much, so I'm biased.
In any case, it would be easy to demo B3, so demo before buying.
Finally, you might have noted the BRO model frenzy here. They might be the definitive maggot's dream, but so far very few of us have had the intimate plasure to meet them. If you can wait for them..... then... wait!

Hey Mad323 - ask Seldon for advice on what skis your parents should buy for you.
He loves it when people do that!

I'll bite...
I had the same problem about a month ago. If you go with the k2 apache you will get a good crud buster/pow ski... however, it is a bit one dimensional. On the groomers they take some muscle.
The B3 will be more versatile, and that you are a lighter skier will benefit you on these boards. Just remember, the 195's have a different flex (much stiffer) than the shorted sizes."You go for it. All the stops are out. Caution is to the wind, and you're battling with everything you have. That's the real fun of the game. "
