So where did you end up mounting yours?

I have a Big Dump coming my way with P14s mounted for 305 mm BSL on the line but have 325 BSL myself. Moving the toe would result in +1, moving the heel -1. What's better?

Also wondering. Mounting some up this weekend. What did the Rep say?

I think the big dumps are very similar to my rc 112s although i dont know what the recomonded line is like on the big dumps. I mounted my 112s up at +2 or 2.5 i forget. I found the 112s recomended line was far back and had a ton of shovel, with the early rise rockered tip and the stiff badassness of these skis i found mounting them a little foreward from the trad line made mine much more nimble while still a charger, i think this concept would work for the long 192 big dumps.

Don't go forward on the Big Dump. Big time tip dive. Go recommended or behind. My bro has them and mounted on the line, still had issues with them diving. At high speeds it isn't an issue but the ski is a lot of fucking work in the trees and tight spaces. It needs more tip rocker and much less camber underfoot.

I ended up mounting mine at -1 cm last year and am very happy with it. Nice in the fresh and still manageable on the groomers. The demos I once skied at GM were at +0.5 with my BSL and felt a lot more squirrely which I didn't like.

5' 10" and about 170 with at 295 bsl.

I'd keep them mounted on the line if you can. They are big heavy and potentially nasty. I can see how moving forward will make the tail angry and powerful, and moving back will reduce the leverage you can apply to the tip making the tips angry and powerfull... Either way I can see them becoming a handfull.

If you have to move to a different location decide which you would be more able to deal with and commit.

Resuming this thread to hear about some more opinions...I got a brand new pair of Big Dumps in front of me right now.

Me 195 and 5'9", mounted with Rossi Freeride 15 right on the line, love them. Bomber in the open and manageable in the trees if you have skills and/or big quads.

I had mine on the line... Hated them, the stiff tails destroyed me and sent me over the tips at least once, and the didn't float, at least not if I leaned forward to charge on them. I added a 5 mm riser to just the toes (from the fks) to put me more in the back seat and it helped a tiny bit, but they still felt wrong, and weird on the groomers.
In the "Big Dumps are the SHIT!" thread gwat suggested using your boot sole and subtracting 292mm. For me that was 308mm-292mm=1.6cm behind the line. I went with 1.5cm and left the toe risers in... and then I went from hating the ski everywhere, groomers, open pow , tight trees and crud... to loving it everywhere.
The ski has a TON of camber and therefore a ton of life as long as you have a bit of mass on your side.
