Snowboard angels
I have a question about binding angles for snowboard. Recently I got new boots which are slightly bigger.
Snowboard length
151cm
height 5' 10"(yea i know i need a longer board by about 5-10cm) What should the best angle be to set(I only snowboarded for 1 season, so I am not that good).Last edited by prokeke; 11-10-2009 at 11:33 PM.

Try saying its a mono ski that you prefer to ride sideways and you may get some better answers
If you french fry when you pizza you're going to have a bad time.

I thought it said SKI/SNOWBOARD under one of the forum titles... Maybe that was misleading.
Anyway I decided to change them to 24/6... not sure if thats a good choice.

Don't be offended. This forum skews way more toward skiing than snowboarding, and toward much more experienced riders. And they would have given you shit if you'd asked about where to mount your ski bindings too.
And you probably don't want my advice since I run angles of somewhere in the 45-55* rear, 55-65* front on boards typically around 180cm.
I'd recommend asking this same question in a more board-oriented forum. Or go ride and bring a screwdriver with you so you can experiment. Start at -10 +15 (rear/front) and take it from there.**

In any case, if you're ever really in this situation make sure you at least bargain in a couple of fluffers.

start with +15 -15 and adjust as you see necessary.

I ride -9/+18. I have ridden for years and used to ride a major Euro stance (both positive angles) but have since found a slight duck stance help my all around riding.

Hey Knuckle Dragger Grom
Since you are of the minority on this forum expect some backlash.
Beginner Ride +25 and +10
Set bindings shoulder width apart or more when learning. Keep it that way when you switch to duck (advanced) if you are spinning a lot in the air or riding pipe. Duck +10 -10
If you ride Powder keep both angles forward and set back your stance. Think about getting a longer directional board for POW.

The angle at which the bindings on a snowboard are mounted is determined by a snowboarder's stance. Determining a person's weight, height and leg size compared to their most comfortable standing pose is vital to determining the angle that their bindings should be mounted.
