800 or 1024?

Which is better for posting TR & MPC photos? Is 1024 too big for anybody these days? Is 800 still considered a big photo for some?

I think 800-900 pixels wide is plenty.

More important is keeping control of the file size. I see people posting 800 x 600 pixel photos that are 400-500 kb in size, which is ridiculous and totally bogs down a page.

No need to save screen rez jpegs at the "Maximum" quality setting. Adjust up through the Medium setting until you just enter High quality. There is almost zero difference between that and Max quality when viewed on a screen.

For TGR - 800 or 600. Plenty of netbooks, iPhones, etc. outthere with small displays now. If you only have one or two amazing pics, sure, 1024, otherwise, it's just a PITA

Yeah I'm fine with either as long as the file size is under 500k. My laptop runs 1920 x 1200, but the file size bogs the page down.

1080p displays are fricking awesome.
