40D for me!
Woot! Just picked up a 40d with a battery grip these evening .. .cant wait to get out and use the thing!

roughly 6k shutter clicks and I paid $650 for the body and bought a battery grip to go along with it for $100 so $750 total. Not a screaming deal but a pretty solid price.

I got one a couple months ago and it rocks. My first SLR and I love it. Good times. Enjoy. FWIW, I picked mine up for just over a grand, new, with the 28-135 lens, also new.

I bought a refurb 40D (body only) from Adorama for $700 last month. Looks like they only have the refurb 40D + 28-135mm kit now for $969.

Photography on the net seems to have quite a few 40D's listing between 625-700.
