    Thanks.

Didn't hit 80/90s ourselves. Too thin comes to my mind too. Hard to tell from the road though. I didn't find any stumps in HHA.

A little south where those shots were taken we found a rock or two, a few more were uncovered through the trees making the way back to my truck.

Dug a couple pits today on ENE facing slope. Snowpack averaged 65cm deep. New snow was sitting on a hard sun crust around treeline. Higher up a slab was starting to form on a couple inches of facets. Failed CT 14.

    Thanks for the extra info.
I think we met at the FOBP on-snow instructor class back in Jan. I'd enjoy touring with you sometime this winter...

Hi all. I am looking for some people to ski some BC with. About me:

Avalanche safety experience: I have 100+ days experience traveling in the BC with a guide (friend) from whom I've learned a lot. This was in CH (from where I move to Denver from). I feel the snowpack there is relatively simple, however, and the reporting better, so I still consider myself a novice to CO BC. I have completed the FOBP avy training last year, and have regularly practiced beacon scenarios and probing. My default is to be extremely cautious. I enjoy the hiking as well and have had two-day tours with no skiing due to questionable conditions. I would prefer smaller groups where the decision making is easier, and the people are similarly cautious. I plan on taking an avy I course this season.

Ability: Almost all of that BC was on a board and snowshoes. When I moved to CO last year I switched to skiing and spent almost all of last year in-bounds to improve (and I HATE the piste!). I believe I am to the point where I can handle myself on most BC runs, but wanted to disclose this so you are not expecting some expert skier.

Other: I live in Denver and would be happy to drive, and could fit two others with gear no problem, three would be a stretch but doable (I have an Audi wagon with snowtires, so I feel pretty confident driving in adverse conditions). I am primarily free on the weekends, but would consider a weekday to take advantage of conditions, contingent to being free at work.

    Please hit me up.

True. I’ll be there again this year. Definitely game for a tour to some of the less traveled parts of the pass. I’ve got a few spots in mind I’ve been anxious to get back to.

    HTT -> HHA

Good stuff on Sunday. Got a late start, but got three laps in. Sun/wind didn't do much all afternoon. Cover in HTT was pretty good. Up high was a bit thin but smooth. Better cover down low but a few logs and stumps to watch for.

Coloskier...I think we met last year on the pass...if you are putting together a group this year to hit something "less traveled" please let mme know...I am sure myself and my touring partner would really enjoy seeing some lesser known area's of the pass.

    Thanks

Anybody want to head up now (from Denver)? Looks to be a nice bright sun shiny day!

If not, I guess I'll head to Loveland in about a half hour

Anyone can hit me up as well for BP - went too often by myself last year. (I'm SJ in the pic above). Might have seen my obnoxious vehicle - yellow FJ with stickered up rocket box.

BTW - Muku, if you're reading this you still owe me poles from last year...

That was me that borrowed your poles last year, I think! Been trying to track you down to no avail.

Shoot me an email at fobp_info*yahoo.com and we can arrange their timely return.

Also, welcome aboard the TGR midnight train.

If I can't rope anybody into going to Hahns in the next day and Berthoud gets 6", I might do a couple of HHA laps tomorrow or the next day.

Hopefully someone will come to Hahns though since that's where the snow will be: [ame="http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=175409"]11/16/09 Park Range Exploration - Teton Gravity Research Forums[/ame]

More than a foot of fresh up there and all you have to do is ask for change loudly enough and virtually every head in the lot will turn to say hi. Look for me on mid-week pow days with the mini-Weber, lawn chairs, and the plentiful supply of PBR.

Berthoud? Or sleep in a bit more, and go to Loveland? Decisions, decisions.
