What's the wind loading like on the upper elevations?

So...2 feet on top of shit? Looks like enough for decent turns - guessing that was the "higher elevation" coverage, and not lower down. Nice pics.
I was in the IPW today. A lot of fresh for sure, but probably even less base underneath than that.I french kissed Kelly Kapowski.

These two pretty much sum up the day.
The wind was present and has made a substantial mark above treeline. In treeline we found about 45cm of snow. Above treeline we found a loaded pocket holding 115cm. Had several turns similar to the pic above which really made my day. But I also had several that I hit bottom and was skiing on the gravel. We also had a collapse of the weak layer. It did not propagate and was only a pocket. I can imagine more of this to come though.
Overall, I had some of the deepest early season turns I have ever had and am more than happy with October 29th.

I spent some time in FP today and it was ... interesting. 2-4' of powder all the way to dirt.

Heading up again tomorrow for a couple of early morning runs.
Oh yeah, anyone run into the guy who locked himself out of his truck and was looking for a coat hanger? Hope he found one. I'm going to start carrying a coat hanger in my truck. That's a great way to be a hero.
