Quote of the day: "Looks kind of wind loaded. But there are tracks on it, so we're probably good."

Probably 2-3" of new snow but really windy. Winds were mostly going west-east HHA & Floral could be really nice tomorrow.

Floral was good today. 6 plus had blown in... more in some places. Enoch, I'll be up there in the morning early. Blue pants, brown plaid jacket, S7s. Give a shout. Gotta be back to the resort by 11:30 though.

Agreed. HAA could be pretty good. It was surprisingly decent last night.

Nice! Some really cool looking pictures. Enoch, I love the pic of your 'bud', and coloskier night shot, nice. Rough snow season, I've been coming to this page more for comedy (and it delivers) than snowpack info. Maybe that can still change??

At least 1" of fresh in the lot this morning, wind drifts up to 2-3", should be sick tomorrow. I'll be wearing a yellow speed skiing suit with Salomon x-screams.

anybody know what's up with the berthoud snotel? in recent weeks it was only updating every 6 hours - and now it hasn't updated at all in the last 3 days...

Edit: I went to work on it (information DOES exist outside the TGR world, I guess) and got an answer from someone with a .gov email. They've been having power issues (battery), hence the decrease in reports to save power, and then I guess it finally failed altogether - apparently they're up there working on it today?

Berthoud will be $$ tomorrow a.m. After spending 7 hours chasing and finally finding my dog, see MISSING GOLDEN RETRIEVER thread, I was in the parking lot til 11. Made a few mellow headlamp tours around 10 out of the parking lot in attempt to find said dog and things filled in well.

Good runs today in Second Creek but things are ACTIVE. Found a few slides around the 90's and one crown, roughly 8" - 12" just skiers right of rush / nitro. Play it safe tomorrow with the new snow and heavy winds!!!

If I wasn't physically / mentally drained from today I'd be there. POST STOKE!

Anybody want to head up tomorrow?

I am a BC newb but I have taken two awareness classes and I took the FOBP field day two weekends ago. I have all the avy gear needed and I am snowboarder without a split board.

I am in Denver so carpooling would be great but meeting up there is cool too.

Unfortunately, I am moving to Dallas in a month so I would love to get in some turns before I have to leave!

    Thanks!

    James

Great conditions on the 14th. Upper skiers left in Floral was just about perfect, lower third was nicely freshened up but had some land mines and skis got down to icy layer underneath. 90's just straight rocked. I'm not mentioning the snowpack, because I think we all know what lurks underneath this season.

It was good up there on Sat... The coverage in HHA was really good, not much to worry about in there.
