    Colorado fall colors tour

Just got back from a 5 day trip all over SW Colorado for the fall colors. It was absolutely amazing. Click on the video to see the full HD version.

I'm not going to watch the whole video.... did you take any pictures? Any favorite locations?

I didn't make it into the high country much this fall, but I heard it was one of the worst years in recent memory for colors.

Unlike other years, the leaves have been slowly turning in batches this year, so we didn't get that effect of a huge sea of bright yellow. Some bright yellow, some dark yellow/brown, some completely bare, and some completely green (even now).

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

Smmokan, tons of pictures, just no time to go through them all right now.

I was told by a few guys how terrible the colors were this year, but if that's the case, I can't wait for next year because I thought it was amazing. Yeah, there were spotty areas, but I was just blown away by most of the trip.

Favorite location was all around Ridgeway(Dallas Divide, Country road 5, 7, and 9), and from Ouray to Silverton. Having the San Juans as a backdrop is just unbeatable.

Kebler and Ohio pass were amazing just for the sheer numbers of trees there are. It was an area that can be shot at any time of day.

Aspen area has a lot of trees, but they seemed past peak by the time we got there. McClure pass seems to have a ton of potential as well, but there was a small fire west of there when we drove thru, and it was super hazy.
