It was dumping at Snoqualmie when I left there around 3:45. If that rate keeps up, there'll be a decent amount of fresh by morning, and boy do we need it.

I thought Stevens bordered on heinous yesterday, but today wasn't so bad, particularly after it started dumping. It was, at least, uncrowded.
Sadly playing hooky this week isn't in the cards until possibly Friday. Happily NOAA seems to be revising its forecast from rain to snow. Keeping fingers crossed.

Oh well. I am leaving the PNW for a month on Thursday, so all I can say is that we'd better have some good coverage for when I get back.
That, and I'll be expecting some waist deep on my first run of course. I guess I would settle for Alpental not being a skating rink though.

yeah it was. snowing nicely all day, by 2 or 3 pm there was a good few inches most everywhere, but not enough to totally cover the ice. hopefully this storm cycle doesn't create a persistent weak layer, but if it snows enough it likely will

Today: Snow showers likely. Cloudy, with a temperature rising to near 26 by noon, then falling to around 18 during the remainder of the day. East wind between 8 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow. Low around 15. Wind chill values as low as -1. East wind between 14 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 9 to 13 inches possible.
Tuesday: Snow. High near 21. South southeast wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches possible.
Yeah now that the weekend's over it starts snowing again.

Mt. Pilchuck Ski and Sports and Sturtevants both used to have demo days at Stevens. I believe Pilchuck went out of business last year and a sales guy at Sturtevants said they won't be doing any this year, his words "Demo days don't sell skis and reps hate doing them".
Aside from the retailer demo at Mission Ridge in the spring there might not be any demos left in Washington. My information may be bad, anybody know more?

What? I've totally bought skis based on demo days.
Er...
* cough *
...just not from Sturtevants.
Anyway, Whistler still does demo days, or at least they did last spring.

there will be a demo day at stevens,
they have not announced it officially yet.
Originally it was going to be this weekend, but has been pushed back, I do not know when though.
Sturts is not doing a demo day because it is a pain in the ass and no one showed up last year (although it was moved from stevens to crystal last min).
Also the shop has not had time to get the fleet up and running due to having to much customer stuff to do. There are a bunch of skis upstairs just waiting for the demo bindings.
