Wow. Just took a walk down memory lane and looked through some of the first posts on this thread. A lot of skis have come and gone....the tech has changed immensely. I most noticed, though, that a shitload of people have come and gone from this board.
Feeling a little nostalgic here!
Better keep this thread rolling so someone can say the same thing I just said in 13 years. Thir-teen-friggin-years.

PA, thanks for throwing the rocker profile up - I owe you one... I am totally digging the 116 profile and also like the mount point... The 98 def looks different from any other past Wrens as that has to be the most tip rocker I have seen in any Wren version and the tail def has a noticeable rise... Not saying it is bad, but def a different profile for a "chargey" ski...
Thanks again PA and def looking forward to getting my hands on my pair...!

Haven't skied the GPO's yet. They weigh about 4lbs each. Standard flex so I'm told (I'm not the original owner). My Lhasa are significantly stiffer than the GPO's and weigh 4.6lbs each. My Lhasas don't have a top speed, only user error. I have a pair of softer, OG Lhasas I leave in Italy that are a nicer touring ski for most occasions. More fun in trees and at low speed and they weigh about the same as the GPO's. This is the role I hope the GPO's will fill, hence the lighter bindings. But for wide open terrain or resort skiing my lime green Lhasas crush it.
In summary the skis on the left are for logging more vertical, and more careful skiing while the skis on the right are for shorter tours where I want to go fast and resort skiing. If I don't love the GPO's I may try a lighter powder skis like G3 synapse 109's. I'm pretty locked in on the other three skis, although I tried some Zero G 95's and they might even better that the Hannibals.
