    MARKERS

I'm just giving you shit, man. I'm gonna get castrated for this, but I have a set of Marker 14.0s (that I got free, okay?) and I haven't had any problems with them. I don't think it's so much that Marker's suck when they are working, but when they fail they do so catastrophically. I work in a shop and test alot of binders and I have issues with a lot of other bindings before I do high end markers. But, when there's look and salomon out there, there's really no reason to buy them.

Not to derail the thread: the Markers are OK but for me, their recommended DIN are way to low. I don't recall exactly but I think mine are at 10.5 or maybe 11 when Marker suggests 9. I was coming out all over the place.

The look on my two Dynastar are at 9.5 and I'm fine with those.

Not sure what you're saying here, James. Different manufacturers do have charts that vary only slightly (but usually on the extreme ends)((except for Line bindings, which are just funky)), but a normalish person should be set at the same din on all manufacturers. For instance, on the charts I'm an 8.5 at III or 10 at III+, and that's for all diff brands. Perhaps you need to crank the Marker's higher to avoid unwanted release, is this what you are saying?

    Yes.
I should be a DIN 9 but on my Markers I was coming out to easily and had to crank 'em up.

    #1 Explosiv
    #2 Legend Pro

Ice/hardpack Legend Pro or rarely Skicross 10
Powder is any of the K2; sometimes Explosiv or LP
Slush is anything but the Pistol is really fun in that stuff

I'll put my Seth Vicious to use next weekend.

If you hate those pistols so much, you could send them to a needy kid! I.e. me!

I had that same Kona. Fun little bike. I snapped the frame, busted the top tube and down tube several inches back from the head tube. It also got dragged down the interstate in WV for several miles hanging off the rack by bunggy cords. Learned to never never let your friends put your bike on the rack.

    My four-season quiver:

    Marin Nail Trail

My "custom" homegrown longboard - I took a blank and built it, did the griptape myself too..

    185 Salomon Pocket Rockets w/ Salomon 997 Equipe's

    195 K2 AK Launchers w/ Naxo NX01's

193 Line Ostness Dragons (custom painted) w/ Rossi KX Pro's

210 K2 TNC Comps w/ ESS VAR bindings (rock you like a hurricane!)
Keeping these for sentimental reasons, but still ski on them from time to time...

    My other skateboard.

Yea, the Vicious are obviously next years along with the Prophets. Just sold my pair of 05/06 PE"s...great ski, but too small.

    A little late...here's mine:

This was my first season on alpine skis- loved it! (I went from snowboarding to tele, now alpine). The hardest part is deciding what I want to do that day.

Impressive uniformity in the length of those skis.

You have a fatter skis than me, and you live in New Jersey. I don't know if I should yell at you, or be pissed at myself.

You're moving West after HS, right? If not I lose all respect for you. ALL of it.
