Well, it didn't go down exactly like that... Short story; Renegades are replacing EHPs and Praxis pows. Lhasa pows are more an add-on/Wailers-replacement for touring and one quiver skis for traveling. Hadn't really planned for the Lhasas, but had a trip to the US in short notice and decided I couldn't miss out on experiencing the lhasa love...
Had the EHPs for three seasons now and loved them for anything but icy groomers, though I could miss some float in bottomless, fresh pow. In a perfect world with unlimited ski days and no quiver limitations they would definitively have stayed. Anyhow, I like to try different stuff and the new stuff isn't always better - time will tell. The Praxis pows was fantastic in pow and trees, but it felt kinda like skiing powblades - almost like cheating.
On a second note, LPs are replacing XXLs. Loved the XXLs, though worthless in pow, so why not go with the slightly skinnier originals...?Cold water stoke

Enjoying scrolling through the pages of this thread. Basically like a cartoon flip book of ski progression over the past 8 years.

193 EHPs: probably going to be turned into rock skis. Have a couple really large core shots from touring on them early season.
192 Garbones: absolutely love these things, these will see the most use out of any of my skis
195 Super 7s: probably going to be sold. Last season I really liked these, this season it feels like the tail is too soft. Not sure if my skiing has changed or if they have lost some life
195 Kuros: pow days
185 JJs: touring and sled skiing. These make a great touring ski. I skied them in bounds last weekend for a couple of runs...scary.Last edited by dfinn; 01-19-2011 at 09:17 PM.

Camber/rocker view
195 Praxis pows, 192 Moment Garbones, 190 Nordica 9.1FF's, 190 Volkl Explosivs, 186 4FRNT Renegades.
Arriving soon I'll have some inserts for the praxis, garbones, and 9.1FFs? and some sollyfits for the Renegades and Explosivs (or 9.1ffs, not sure which pair yet).
Yes, I have overlap. There's a small chance I'll sell the praxis after I get to try out my Renegades but honestly I'll probably just keep both.
WWYD for spring touring, sollyfits on 9.1s or explosivs?

I finally have a quiver, up until a few days ago I'd been exclusively riding the 120's. Now I have a play/spin/touring rig and some rock skis:
-190 Volkl Explosivs with 997's, mounted +3 due to former mounts. Haven't skied these yet, but very excited.
-190 DPS Lotus 120's with Dukes at +.5cm Favorite skis ever. They kill it in almost any conditions, except super-heavy PNW mashed potatoes.
-186 first-gen Moment Bibbys with Barons at -2cm from true center

I still have more oldies up in the rafters, the 205 Haute Routes saw the deepest pow i've ever skied in the 80's at Jackson....the 223 Rossi downhills are the skis i have gone the fastest on... The 210 Elan Super G's were my all mountain go fast ski back in the day.
I still enjoy riding the Dynastar 4x4's now and then...
Super S7's and the S3's are my go to skis now..Last edited by iamchappy; 03-04-2011 at 03:15 PM.

I've really despised alot of Praxis' graphic offerings, but the Protest looks great.
