Binding advice for 52lb 7 YO girl

Birthday coming up and she needs to go from a 100cm ski to 110. All the ski options look great, but unsure about bindings. Is it wrong to put her on Markers? What about Roxy bindings (I assume those are Rossi) on a demo track? Or should I just throw her in some Sally 916s and tell her to deal with it?

I assume at her weight it shouldn't matter, but she started trying to ski bumps and catch some air last year, so who knows.

    The skier in question:

Awww. Your daughter is such a cute little ripper! Look at the concentration on that little face!

    No useful advice though.

Maybe get binders that go down to like 2 so you're not using the end of the spring?

There's lots of choices, I wouldn't worry about it at her age. I'm sure she'll care more about what color they are than if they prerelease. Something like the tyrolia sl45 is pretty popular, or for a slight step up maybe try a look nova 7 or similar.

I like Look/Rossi/Roxy kids binders for my two daughters. I bought a pair from Glimmer who had a huge stash of new kids binders, might look for the thread or send him a pm. Demo binders aren't a bad idea if her feet grow and I don't think pre-release more at that din range.

My daughter started with hers at 7, (with the DIN at 2), and she's 10 now, and they adjust easily as her BSL grows.

She does get cool comments from instructors, etc.

Not sure I'm going to get her to tour quite yet--and since all I've got is Daywreckers she'd probably outpace me.

Based on last year's DIN setting (I don't think she ever pre-released) those are too burly for her. She was at 1.75 last year.

    Thanks for the input, all.

I picked up a pair of Look Team 4 for my then 7 yo daughter, last year at Level Nine Sports. If memory serves me correctly I paid a little less than $50. No problems of pre releasing, and my daughter had no problems putting them back on after losing a fight with gravity.
Nice pic. the look on her face reminds me of my daughter as she would go airborne.

My daughter used to use these as well. Great kids binding. No problems here.

Another vote for the Look Team 4s, although frankly, any 4-DIN binding will do, even Markers. Bear in mind that her DIN is not going to increase as fast as you think -- it increases with weight, but decreases with foot size.

Most kids' bindings have a longer heel track to account for frequent size changes.

I actually have a spare pair of NIB Look Team 4s if you want 'em. I think they cost me $45.
