    TR: Montezuma Basin

Since the guy I work with did not show up for work today I took the chance to see what the new snow was like. We have not had near the moisture that the foothills has but we still have had snow in the area.

There ended up only being a few inches but it made the snowfield better than it has been all summer. The sun cupping made for a very inconsistent surface since you would be ankle deep in fresh snow then suddenly on old frozen corn snow. The bottom of the field seemed to be filled in the best and skied the best.

She is actually an Alaskan Malamute, I think she was almost more excited about the snow then me.

What gate? The only gate I can think of is by Ashcroft I am not sure that is ever closed.

It'll get closed in a month or two.... depending on snow.

Looks like I was off a bit. The first picture looked a lot like an area near Keystone.
