Yesterday Tuckerman Stoke
Made a trip up to Tucks yesterday(and today but most of the snow was gone). Pretty damn sweet. Another storm and you could skin up the last third of the trail to the headwall. Unfortunately, the warmer temps and rain last night and today depleated quite a bit of the snow. Wildcat had a good covering saturday, today it was bare. http://www.biglines.com/photos_large.php?picid=14611
Hot stuff.

Edit: Sonofabitch, someone want to tell me the correct way to post a picture? http://www.biglines.com/photos_large.php?picid=14611 is the link.

here ya go....just put "" after...no spaces.
oh and the url you want is the one you get by checking the properties (right click) of the picture...not the url for the page.Last edited by Idris; 10-26-2003 at 03:00 PM.

Just wondering if you're looking at the skier's left line, through the brush, over the barely covered rocks, that ends in a 1 foot wide trench. Or the center line through the brush, over the barely covered rocks, that ends in a 2 foot trench. Or the skier's right line--well, actually, there is no line, just rocks over there.Originally posted by mildbill.
that is definitely skiable.
Or is skiable a term you use to mean 'in two months that'll probably be something one can ski'??
Someone should go steal Killington's snowmaking system, since they obviously don't need it, and hook it up on Mt. Washington.

i'm pretty sure you're looking at all of left gully in that photo. yeah the top would be alittle brushy, but defintiely skiable.

I know, I just can't tell how long that is--a dozen turns, max? Would definitely like to get up there in November or December if it looks like it might be good.Originally posted by mildbill.

Yes it was good for about 5 turns. I skied the little patch there below the choke. Above it was good for maybe 2-3 turns, but that choke was really narrow. I didnt feel like messing myself up and then spending the evening there. It was fun, but also pretty fucking scary. There wasnt a soul in the ravine and the wind was blowing like a mofo. Also it was pretty late in the day which didnt help.
All in all a fun trip.
this first photo scared me into not trying to ski anything higher up.

Dude, you should fully post those pics over at www.neice.com
I'd have gone up there to climb if I'd known if the lines were that in.
