been there a few times. you should hit up shabu shabu, i think thats what its called. right in the middle of main street inside the little shopping center.
you order your meat and veggie box.. they bring out a big cooker with which ever sauce you choose and you cook your own food. after your done with that, the stuff left over has condensed to soup.. its some good shit, i didnt find the place untill one of that last nights i was there. otherwise i would have eaten there ALOT.

we have a similar resturaunt back home called the melting pot.. if you've ever been to one of those.

We just got a new restaurant called Spruce at the Dakota Mountain Lodge near The Canyons. Just ate there last week with the boyfriend and it is AMAZING! I would skip right over Grappa and make sure you go to Spruce for a special occasion.

Shabu is also delicious, and I highly recommend Chimayo for incredible food.

Prices of all three are around the same, about $25 - $40 for entrees.

For more casual places there are a TON of options. El Chubasco, Fuegos, and Szchewan are all tasty local favs.

Spruce is from SF and supposedly incredible. Riverhorse on Main St is also damn fine, so is the restaurant @ Stien Erikson Lodge

I live in park city. I consider my favorites some of the places with a better value. For a casual burger and beer hit up No Name. Excellent buff burgers and a cool atmosphere.

Check out Maxwells at Kimball Junction for cool local/somewhat classy bar and pizza and drinks.

    El Chubasco is good.

Grappa and Steins are the standard high end restaurants. I think Grappa is a bit overpriced and under quality personally.

Good times is an interesting place near the junction that also has "down home" cooking.

Lots of good eats here in pc. Good value generally.

They're all great, mediocrity doesn't cut it here.

If you want guaranteed fellatio = Spruce (it's pushing the $$$ envelope, even for here). But it's kind of cavernous because it's never busy, so the atmosphere is whack to me.

When I'm dining on the company dime I usually go to Shabu, 350 Main, or Riverhorse.

Not a big of Grappa or Ghidotti's. Jean Louis is overrated IMO.

If you want a place where the staff will sing happy birthday to the old lady, the mexican place at the base of Park City Mtn. Resort is ok.

^ he's bald, hunchbacked, and French. And he'll come to your table and ask you how fabulous you think he and his food is.

Definitely +1 on all these below:

    Shabu
    350 Main
    Riverhorse
Steins, but overpriced and a bit cavernous .
Grappa, but it didn't live up to the rep we heard from others.

Isn't there a good sushi restaurant, The Fat Budhha ???????? at the base of main street ??

    Flying Sumo.

Oishi is better, and right now they have 1/2 off some of their rolls.

There's a taco stand in the back of the mexican market, Anyaya's, located across the street that's even better.

Thanks for the info. I am not a PC newb since I just live down the hill in Cottonwood, was just wondering if there was anything new and exciting in the food world. Sounds like Spruce to me, espescially since it comes with a promise of fellatio!

Good choice. My roommate and neighbors work there, so if you're not fellated by the mrs., one of those guys will probably give one for the team.

    What day of the week?

Yes, it can make a difference.
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. btw, if you're going to spruce, Dakota is running an intro/HHonors rate for $129 - you can stay the night and make sure her buzz doesn't wear off...
