    FACTION 3 ZERO - 183CM 09/10

Hey guys, I have just ordered a new set of these. Living in Aistralia I cant get to demo them. Will be using to take to Niseko in Japan which is the second snowiest resort in the world and its deep deep deep powder in feb.

I have checked the site and the internet and there arent many reviews if any at all really...

Just wondering if anyone has tried them / owns them who has a good description / review of how they perform across: Pow, crud, groomers, park (if at all not sure how they hold up as 112 underfoot)

    Any info is apprecaited!

    Cheers

Awesome awesome ski. It's a perfect quiver of one, carves nice on hardpack, has enough float in powder. I found the 183 too short but I have friends who just love it, all over the mountain.

Enjoy, it's the perfect ski for Japan.

The new website is up now...

How big are you? I haven't skied the 183s, but loved the 191s when I demoed them... damp, stable with good snap and feedback. Does everything well, but as with most full twins, it does ski a little short... but It all depends on your style... I also have met a couple really good skiers who rock the 183 and aren't exactly small dudes.
What do you mean why do I have duct tape on my skis!?! It improves edge hold, increases pop, adds durability, and most importantly, boosts horsepower by like 30%... what? your skis don't have horsepower?

Nice one guys, you are echoing what i have heard, unfortuantely the only size i can get are the 183's. I am 6ft and have Armada ARV's in 185cm and ski these fine and can really charge and could defo go longer. I am hoping with the increased width at the base it may compensate for the lack of length in powder and therefore maintain decent float in POW.

Guess I am lucky that I know the Australian ditributor pretty well, but all their skis seem pretty sweet!

I am usually a fan of slightly bigger skis (I have 191 Wrenegades which are similar in shape to the 3.Zeros) but I actually prefer this ski in a 183 to the 191. I found the 191 a little too much ski for an everyday-type, which is what I would want them for. They are pretty stiff, but in a 183 they will do much better in the trees than the 191. I skied them in late April and didn't get any real pow experience, but they kicked major ass in the crud. They will also haul serious ass when you want them too. They are a big ski on groomers, but love doing Super G type turns. Two bad things? Ice and park. Use something else for those days if you can.

It seems to have a 25m turning radius which is awesome for hardpack etc. Will be using it a bit in the park but just hitting the odd rail and jump no 720's! Seems like a really good fat all mountain twin with off piste bias. Faction have a great new line of skis out
