Will the new Salomon rental boot evolve into a cool mountain boot?
Have you seen pics of Salomon's new rental boot? It does sport rubber toes and heels and is coupled to a proprietary binding system. It looks soft just by a quick buckle count, but it also looks like something you want to walk in.

Great, as if the Pilot system wasn't enough, now you have to buy Salomon boots as well.Originally posted by Dr. Crash

Whatever happenned to Fredom of Choice? Like the freedom to buy Volkls and not be forced into buying Markers with them?"There is a hell of a huge difference between skiing as a sport- or even as a lifestyle- and skiing as an industry"

We had a few of these set-ups last year. Really weird set-up, the boot is designed to rocker so it makes it easier for the user to walk. This whole set up boot, binding, and ski is aimed at making the experience a positive one and getting more return first-timers.
It's just a way to help people who haven't been in ski boots before note feel like they should have bolts sticking out of their necks when they first try it.Skiing, where my mind is even if my body isn't.
