The movie is a classic. That movie was solely responsible for many to go out west to become skibums. It is and always will be the number one cult skiing film.

Who can forget when Harken Banks and his busty blonde hitchhiker went to check into the "hotel love". Then you see this guy popping out of the hottub wearing a scuba mask/ snorkel he used to pleasure the hot female hotel clerk.

Yes indeed. The movie is a 5 Star skiporn classic :cool

Ski rack and empty truck bed always cracks me up

    Try

The Ski Bum (movie) 1970. This is a fucked up movie if ya can handle the Frank Zappa's 200 Motels thing.

It’s so quiet, it’s so cool, it’s so cold

Ya Zappa laid out some pretty zainey stuff. His "Joes Garage" albums were pretty out there. Great bong material.

I thought this was gonna be about the movie being on TBS yesterday. TBS!!! How can they show that and sleep with themselves at night. Making kids watch Hot Dog and not letting them see Shannon Tweed and Sunny in all their glories is just plain WRONG.

Errr, no. He was Japanese...Kendo Yamamoto. I know they "all look the same," but really.

For some reason the way he answers "...Shquirrel" when the hottie asks him his name on the Gondy just before blowing him just cracks me up.

my first impression is their synchronized hop-turns...which convinces me that this is some beautifully terrible ski movie from back in the day

i flip and some back to it only to see the FIGURE SKATING SKIING!!! did this actually happen?? makes me happy i wasnt alive if so...super slo mo extremo hop 360

I believe the correct term is Ballet Skiing.

I believe it's, "Sure ,try this,it's my specialty,I call it the Leg Spreader"

Hey Ex-lax ,don't take any more, seems your commode runneth over.

You gotta walk before you run!Show some respect pup,Guys like Scot Schmidt,Glen PLake,Mike Hattrup,Dean Cummings, & Doug Combs all learned to ski like that.I venture to say that they'd bitch slap your ass up & down the mountain all day & all night,no matter what gear they were on.

Not that I have an opinion one way or another!

Based on the time it took to complete that Chinese downhill the course must have been about 9,000' vert.
