Thumbs up More Truck Stuff - Russian 4wd's

also, I just found the link to my favorite brand of Russian vehicles:
    http://www.uaz.ru/eng/

the UAZ's are mostly utility vehicles, the vans really do look just like burly 4wd VW microbusses (called tabletka's) and the Hunter model is a lot like old rover's (called Kazul's aka: goats)

    and the niva's:

The Niva's are 1/2 between a jeep wrangler and a subaru

This is my favorite Eastern-Bloc vehicle, slightly modified with turntables and a 3,000 watt sound system:

I though that's what he meant.

I had a friend that had a Mog as his daily driver in Morgantown for a while. It was '77 or '78 painted safety orange, the thing stuck out like a sore thumb.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

http://pry.com/pics/bm2003/.slide_DSCN1209.JPG I have it on good authourity that this is an older model unimog....product of west (yest that old) germany or austria, not the ussr (would be the czech republic if it were a Tatra)

Spam, just go and buy a 4x4 eurovan (Transporter or caravelle) from a dealership in europe, much better reliability and diveability....available in 1.9 or 2.8 gas or 1.9, 2.4 or 2.4 turbo deisel (sp)...if you need more space then citroen/peugot/fiat also make 4x4 vans (renult, ford and merc are only on special order)

You should try to ride one of those tabletkas (which is translated as pill - anyway, never heard nobody callin them so) aka baton or bukhanka (both are translated as bread loaf). Those cars' suspension looks like it is absent... i mean you don't feel any suspension. It is stiff as fuck which makes them pretty tough - we are using them in our army.

And classic UAZ trucks (you can see it slightly redesigned and called Hunter) are called Kozel, which means BILLY-GOAT.
oh shit here comes the ground!
