Audi A3 towing a sled?
I have a 06 A3 without Quatro. I have seen and known people who have towed their sleds with VW Golf (newer ones).
I just bought a sled and don't want to rely entirely on the boys with the trucks and trailers.
Thinking getting a light weight trailer and hitch set up.
What do you think? Towing capicity is over 2500 lbs.

As long as you have the appropriate tires, you´ll probably do good.

Yeah, I've got some nice studded winters. Won't be driving very far or up many hills as the sledding start zones are pretty close to valley bottom.

I'd want something at least 4wd but I've seen small trailers with sleds on them being towed by Subaru Imprezas around here.

The Euro's are all about towing stuff with small cars so you might be OK. But, small turbo-charged-gasoline motors are sometimes not recommended for towing because the constant load can fry the turbo. Check your owners manual.

little worried about the turbo as well and it's a really light car. Not the end of the world but it would be nice to have a little more freedom.

You could probably get a pretty nice truck if you ditch the audi. What is keeping you from doing that?

haha the audi! zoom zoom.... It's a wicked ski car and I have a rack and box for it as well. my fiance has a decent car that we might trade for a smallish suv.

Sleds weigh under 600 lbs gassed up. You can buy a single sled trailer that weighs less than 200lbs.
You'll be fine.
