    SF Tuning Shtuff?

    Bay Area Mags-

I need to tune a couple of pairs of skis to prep em for sale. Problem- I left my tuning kit in NY.

Anybody have a vice, a file, some stones, some ptex and all the good stuff I could borrow or rent for a day or evening- beers will be provided if you're into that.

Also, any shops in SF that have their stone up and running? do any shops in SF have a proper stone? f' them belt grinders.

    thanks.

sadly, i don't have any tuning gear to loan you and my experience with the bulk of the SF shops has been kinda meh.

that said, i like the vibe over at California Ski Company (they've done a couple of Tyrolia mounts for me since they're one of only less-than-a-handful of shops here and in Tahoe set up for Tyrolia binders). what's more is that they're having weekend blow-out pre-season sales starting today through September or October, so I have a feeling that their shop is up and running. I'd ask for Greg (the owner) he's pretty friendly and laidback.

x2 on Cal Ski, Greg's a good guy.

no ptex, but I've got stones, files, iron, and guides if needed.

east bay or peninsula pickup, cost ya a pint of whatever you're liking these days. A sixer if you drink crap like me.
