Monster Truck Rally
Quick one, no trucks though. I'll have some more later when I sober up and post process them.

'Digger won the freestyle portion after being eliminated early in the race due to mechanical issues.
I loved going to these with my dad when I was a kid too!

Couple more.

This dude wore a mowhawk and had the world's biggest spinners on his Escalade!

I'm liking the pics Shepherd. There's something cool about the effect you got going there. Mind sharing a little more on the PP work you did?
Also, the pan shot is money.

Thanks! A lot of processing using Nik Color Efex.
It's a pretty cool program, I use it through Nikon Capture NX whick makes it easy to do a lot of selective editing and masks.
The filters I used on them were,
Bleach Bypass,
Glamour Glow,
Vignette Blur,
Relfector Effects.
Photo stylizer(ride pictures)
All pretty tweaked out.
Standard adjustments were curves, saturation and some selective sharpening.

Thanks for the info. I think you and I are shooting with the same cam (D90). It's nice to see what some computer editing will do.
I picked up a copy of Lightroom not too long ago. Still learning the program, but it's certainly a nice bump up from iPhoto.
I noticed your pics have kind of a "Single" effect going on. I think he does a lot of his PP in PS, but maybe he could chime in.
Might have to start considering Capture NX before long. Gotta love expensive habits

I can't remember if you're from Utah, but is your Zipper shot from the Rally? I'm sure that ride has been getting around too.
My father has a D90 and I have fiddled around with it and like it a bunch. I use a D300 which I believe has the same sensor as the D90 but is a little faster. I really enjoy editing on the computer. It's pretty fun and relaxing. Lightroom is a good program, I believe it's more workflow oriented than Capture NX which sucks for that. NX is nice because of the control points which make selective editing by color, area, or whatever else almost trivial.

I used to live in Sugar House but have since moved East. Grad school called. The pics of my Zipper were taken in Philly. I did a TR a little while ago with those shots: [ame="http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159041"]Carnival Time TR - Teton Gravity Research Forums[/ame]
You should def check out Lightroom if you're getting bored with NX. I've been having a lot of fun with it.
