Question for Yakima Skybox 16 users
Do any of you who use this box regularly put 190+ skis in?
If so, do they fit in straight or do you have to fit them in diagonally?

Went to an REI today with my Sanouks. They fit into the box side-by-side on the bottom, with enough room to put at least two pairs of shorter skis in.
So now that I have resolved that problem, has anyone had any issues with their newer Yak boxes in general?

um, im moving on sunday so loading the shit out of mine and one side just locked up for about an hour. no idea why. after using every swear word i know from every language it finally popped open. wd-40'ed the shit out of it and now it seems to be working again.
besides that, and stripping my bars a wee bit, its been a life saver for the past 3 years.

Perfect. Those are the reassuring words I've been looking for.
Does anyone know if the older skybox 16 had a round front, as opposed to the squared off front portion on the newer model?

I've got a 2 year old skybox 16. No issues so far, I've been really happy with it.
