Wow, Rube. Good to hear you're acting as official ambassador for the whole world and speaking on our behalf.
Quoting some Okie fucktard senator is a great way to cement your position.
Grasping for straws?

So you are saying you agree with stuck?
Quoting some Okie fucktard senator is a great way to cement your position.
The okie fucktard senator was repeating what the National Journal found. Take it up with them.

"Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was the most liberal senator in 2007, according to National Journal's 27th annual vote ratings. The insurgent presidential candidate shifted further to the left last year in the run-up to the primaries, after ranking as the 16th- and 10th-most-liberal during his first two years in the Senate."
How'd he rank in 2008? And why does the ranking in 2007 matter and not the others, which found him to fall far short of most liberal in the rankings (unless they were all bunched up there together at the top, which is certainly possible). And how does the position on the ideological spectrum of the entirety of senators relate to the point stuckathuntermtn made and you seem to be trying to refute?

Do you disagree with stuck's assertion about Obama?
I didn't form my opinion of Obama based on that survey. It was a counterpoint to stuck's assertion that Obama wasn't a leftist and wasn't even really that liberal. It's kind of ridiculous to assert that someone isn't really that liberal when two years ago they ranked as the most liberal senator in congress.it's all young and fun and skiing and then one day you login and it's relationship advice, gomer glacier tours and geezers.

That very last statement seems reasonable, depending on exactly what one means by "really that liberal." Maybe you two view that differently.
Honestly, I really have no opinion (or not much of one). There are some pretty kookie people out there on both the right and the left. Even counting only those we'd characterize as "serious," I think you can get pretty extreme on either side. Obama doesn't seem that radical to me, but I'm just not confident enough in the comprehensiveness of my knowledge of the variety of opinion out there (or the entirety of Obama's views) to opine strongly as to exactly where he sits.
My point with respect to Senators was simply to wonder whether, considering the breadth of the ideological spectrum, any (or many) of them are really extreme right or extreme left, i.e., that body is mainstream enough that being at one end or the other doesn't put you at an extreme in the broader ideological universe. But, honestly, I don't follow politics enough to really say.

Where was the conservative/republican opposition to no-bid contract "handouts" during Iraq and Katrina? Where was the conservative opposition to TARP? Where was the conservative opposition to handing over major parts of our gov't that we paid taxes to build to business under the veil of "privatization"? It was non-existent. Show me a fox news celebrity reporter or Rush or right-wing think tank or blogger who was opposed to any of that. It didn't happen. But as soon as your party gets tossed just for those reasons, everyone is up in arms when the handouts continue.

^^^ Dude you're living in a closet if you think conservatives love Bush and Republicans. I don't even know any on this board who thinks of Bush highly (myself included).

Hey, my girlfriend likes it when I punch her in the butt and she's not too shy to say so.
