Thread: Gart's SNIAGRAB......anyone find any good deals?

Just wondering what people may have seen/scored at the Gart Sport's SNIAGRAB in Denver? Any fat skis to be had?

SNIAGRAB is ONLY good for beginners and intermidiates to pick up skis. They never have anything (for a good price) that the expert skier would want*

*as a daily ski. They often have oddball stuff for playing around on. I have seen everything from 140cm 20 buck 1080s to Red Sleds for 20 bucks.

SLC one had 186 Atomic Stomps. But mostly I'd agree with you. They had some fat Volants also but they were too short.

I bought a coat. Also ran into Super G while there. The man who got to tour the US running the PTTP tour has actually found a way to upgrade from that gig.

Ski Rex seemed to have the better deals (and all the new boards to drool over). Bought some more goggles there.

Both purchases weren't anything I really "needed" but, it's just so hard to walk away from gear this time of year.

how about 195cm XXX's for $199 stil lin the plastic? oh wait, experts can't ski those. they're too short and rossi never put out an expert ski. micah and gordy must be beaters too.

edit: i will agree that it is mostly crap, but every now and then you'll find something worth every penny.

SNIAGRAB is largely a junk show.

I tend to buy all my crap in the spring, so now I'm shopping for bike stuff.

APD- Yes, 195 XXX's (duacrap) are the biggest piece of shit skis I've ever been on (no disrespect to gordy those guys rule for overcoming such inferior boards).
I guess it is an okay deal if they're paying you 199 to take those off their hands, otherwise, pass.

I did see some Atomic Stomps there also. I tried to find some pants there and they didn't have anything good.

I would rather give my money to Ski and Golf anyway - plus as Meatdrink9 said, you can drool at al the new skis!

Why are you even asking the question then? Go (now what a whole week since it started?) and see for yourself for all I care. All I said was that they don't have a good selection of expert skis for a dirtbag's price. If you are a beginner then by all means, knock yourself out cause there are some great deals there for you.

Otherwise why bother?

Learn how the fucking internet works and then figure out how to use the internet to get better deals on better skis without having to drive an hour plus to stand in a warehouse with 8 zillion fucktard gapers.

Been so damn long since I skied, I honestly dont know.

I think that is a bit small. Size 10 feets in normal shoes.

I wear a 10.5/11, and they were just a mm or two short for me.

If you happen upon a shop w/atomic boots, and a 27 feels good, I have some couple-year-old beta rides I could let go for a song, in the interest of supporting your conversion.
