    Strawberry Narrows, UT

Synopsis: More fun than a barrel of drunk monkeys.

I saw this new addition at utahmountainbiking.com and decided I needed to check it out. Today seemed like a good day since closer trails were sure to be busy on a holiday weekend. It turned out to be an absolutely riotous XC ride, 20 miles RT of flowy swooping singletrack through aspen, fir, sage and meadows with lake views most of the time. Going back was just as good as going out, and I found myself many times pedaled out, totally off the brakes just railing awesome trail. Saw four other riders in 2.5 hours.

Also saw pelicans, blue heron and ducks out on the lake. Normally I would keep quiet about a sleeper gem like this, but it could actually use some more traffic. Parts of the trail are growing grass and getting encroached on by shrubs.

Sweet ride. Rode the narrows last summer, not super gnar but lots of fun plus we went from ~100 degrees in SLC to ~70 degrees at Strawberry on that particular day. The drive from Heber to Strawberry also makes me want to buy an Adventure Moto just to see where all that double track goes (that you pass along the way) as it wonders off into the mountains.

Fun ride indeed. Rode it a week or so ago. I love that area down there. There's TONS of single track down there that isn't on the Utah Mtb site.
