Black Diamond 03 bindings vs G3 Targas
anyone have any input on either one? I've done a search and got nothing, I'm in T2 boots and the bindings are going on a pair of explosives
- Excessive, obsessive gear questioning 10 yards, loss of down
- Not using techtak 5 yards
- Excessive spraying 10 yards loss of down

Re: Black Diamond 03 bindings vs G3 Targas
I've skied the targa but not the 03. Targa was ok, but there are better bindings out there.
The 03 is a newer design (cables underfoot) and is said to ski better; but BD has had serious problems with its bindings. I think those problems have been fixed in both the 02 and the 03 for this season, but I'm really not too sure.Last edited by Will; 09-11-2004 at 01:35 PM.

I would suggest any binding other than those two, unless you like loose and sloppy.
UTB, R8 or R6, Voile Hardwire, Linken, and HH are all better choices.Putting the "core" in corporate, one turn at a time.

I'm primarally going to use them for touring so that rules out the plate bindings as well as the more active bindings. I was thinking about getting the HH but I can get a good deal on the O3 and I'm already on a pair of targas so I was wondering about those two in particular

Fine then. UTB!
If you're stuck on the G3/03, then I'd go, well, um... Freerides.
why no plate? Little do most people know the Linkens have a "touring" mode. It's called moving the heel module back a few clicks on the uphill, then back to "ski" mode (move it forward) when you're ready to rip. Way easier than messing with a HH.Putting the "core" in corporate, one turn at a time.
