What's wrong with my IE?
My Internet Explorer app shows a few websites with fucked up formatting. TGR used to be fine but lately it presents in a werid way with formatted links listed out all fucked up instead of properly formatted (see screenshot). Even on the post thread page I'm using right now, half of the Post Icons show up and half show a box with red X and text of the icon ID in it.
If I try Chrome etc it's fine but I prefer using IE. Tried an upgrade to IE8 and no change. It's a pain in the ass. Any help?

I had that problem with firefox once. Updated the flash player and everything has been fine since. Don't know about IE.

I occasionally hit that with firefox, usually after a really slow page load. Hitting refresh works for me...

I have that as well, so it is not your IE, it is TGR. other pages load just fine - as this one did a couple of days ago.

I had the problem with FF on my macs. Every time it happened, quitting the application and restarting it worked fine.

IE doesn't render pages in accordance with web standards. So it might be that the page isn't IE friendly. I do web programming and IE is a huge pain in the ass since Microsoft refuses to follow the web standards. IE slows down web development. I highly recommend switching to almost anything other than IE.

As for the weird way TGR is showing the header- it is not just your system or an IE problem. I have been getting the same thing with firefox from time to time. Try clearing your cache and temp files as a first step (tools, internet options, browsing history)....
For the issue of the red X showing up, what happens if you refresh the page, do they load after the 2nd attempt? I suspect it is a time-out issue with the graphics images not loading in a timely manner. I have had the menu icons do the same on Internet Explorer.
