    Bountiful DH roll call!

So Bountiful is this weekend! Who is going?
It should be really fun and there is a new section that bypasses most of pinchflat alley and should be much more trail bike friendly.

Regarding that, there is still some work and some bench cutting to be done to really prepare it for the race! So if an evening you're waiting for your buddies and feel courageous, Go up there and bench cut a few more feet

    See you all there

You're new bike has raced there every year of it's life, let's not end that now.
    We'll be there.

Eh, DH bike is still on its way back from the Open. Might do a test run Saturday and make my decision. What's the track like?

You can always compete in the trail bike class!!
The track is fast and wide at the start then turns into a more techy turny trail that eventually turns into steep and loose.

Here is an old video (ok really old .. 5 years.. and shaky :

Only 16Mo. Course exerpts at about 2' and 4'50 (the trails are upper moto and 3 rocks and stupid shit)

very loooooose and dry as of sat. The rain last night might have helped out quite a bit.

There will be a lot of people practicing Saturday.

Anyone been up lately? Curious whether this rain has been helping or creating massive ruts in the course...

I did not go but I've heard that the rain ruined again lower wakeup call which was barely starting to be good again from people riding it.. Looks like we'll have to do some last minute work on it as the guy who most years did a lot of the grunt work on that lower section (Justin) is busy with life

Saturday I'll be shuttling MG, his Cannon Ball team buddies and known Maggots. I'll likely be doing the same thing Sunday in a bid for title of father of the day.
Don’t race. Leave that to the scorchers.

Rode Mormon to Big Mountain to Lookout today. The trails were slightly damp, but otherwise perfect. I'd imagine they'll just get better and better over the next few days.

Bummer, I figured as much though - wakeup call gets some deeep ruts - just stay high on the berms! Should keep the dust down pretty well on the ATV track sections at least.

Forecast high of 67 degrees Sunday, if we don't get rained out should be perfect riding/racing weather! Can't wait!

I will be there tomorrow riding the Astrix gravity sled style (rear deraileur is broken). I might bring the Dirtbag too though.

    Hope to see some maggots!
