I know one of the guys that was on the first ascent team of that route.

Ski descent, or just climbing it?

    Either way, looks sick.

Be safe out there you two! Fingers crossed for first ski descent!

Gotta admit, I'm kinda jealous. But also smiling, hanging out in the sun on a 72 degree day after a bike ride on some flowy, flowery & green utah trails.

    Thanks everybody!

Sitting here waiting for the ride to the airport.

That first expedition sounded like an epic. They approached via Wonder Lake, 60 mile tundra bushwhack with tons of river crossings. We considered that route for about a second.

The plan is to ski it. We're getting a fly by on the way in to see if we can tell what the snow conditions are like.

maybe go down over the ridge on the left if there is a way around that glacier ( 5 times as many people die going down than up )
from 10 to 13 t it gets steep - wonder if the glacier goes to the ridge ? if the wall to the lft of the ridge is stable and climbable ?
make no mistakes not a step or ... bye !!
just checked your page you are 90 % Viking descent ! nothing stops 3 Vikings that are raging together, my experience - 3 Vikings , you got a raiding party ... here we have a lot more so they want to let it happen ! but all come back home alive ... this is a deadly trip ...

Just got back from Base Camp and there was at least a foot of fresh powder, so hopefully conditions are favorable higher up for these guys...
