Questions: New To me 2004 Super T Pro....

Ok, I have just bought a used bike with a 2004 Marz Super T Pro on it.

I've never had a coil anything in my life and I have no idea what to do with this thing. I looked at the tech manual and it tells me that it has "HSCV F/R Hydraulic Cartridge" in both legs. I have no idea what that is. The tech manual is basically for all the 2004 forks, so it tells me nothing about how to adjust anything, or what can be adjusted or not.

Has anyone had one of these? Know how to adjust the rebound? Is there a preload adjustment? The top of the legs has a few knobs but none of them say anything.

    Thanks in advance,

    I don't half-a$$ anything, it's whole-a$$ or nothing.

    I have the same fork.

Preload adjustment are the large black knobs on top of both fork legs, move them the same amount. Your sag on the fork should be anywhere from 15-25% of the fork travel depending on your weight and riding needs.

The flathead screws inside of the preload knobs are your rebound, how quickly the fork comes back from its travel.

Stiffness of your fork is only adjusted by the springs and you can buy different ones depending on your weight. My confusion at first was that the small crew heads changed the "stiffness" but really its the rebound.

    Hope that helps.

(anyone else, feel free to correct me if I am wrong)

If I am riding urban I'll usually do less sag/preload so that it feels a bit stiffer and make the rebound a bit higher, helps with bunny hops, as I feel more feedback from the fork. Probably not a good idea on big drops though as it would make it like a pogo stick.

If I am riding DH rough stuff, I'll make my preload so that it sags a bit more, is squishy and then turn the rebound down so that its not working my arms too hard. Helps soak up the multiple hits over and over.
