Holy S@#$, Carticel implant!
Back in April I had acl surgery on my knee that I have been beating pretty hard since I was a kid. At the time the doc, stated that there was a chunk of cartilage missing from my knee that was an inch big. He advised against having a micro fracture to remedy this problem, due to the size of the chunk. Saying that if he was to perform the micro fracture, I would probably be back in his office in a few years. And instead recommended have a carticel implant at a later date. Which I agreed on.
Jump back to the present, I am at my house walking around with hardly a limp. Wishing I wasn't a gimp, so I could be out there paddling epic california granite Vs. But, knowing full well that another surgery is coming up on the 2nd of June to implant the carticel into my knee.
So, I received a packet today from carticel outlining the procedure. from what I gather, I won't be returning to extreme type sports for over a year. Am I really that washed up before I hit thirty?

How did your surgery go? I am having the carticel implant in two days.
