yes and yes. a few of the models have a 5th screw in the heel piece, but all the other holes are the same.

I'm might be misunderstanding your question, but sth12's are definitely a different pattern for the toe than other Solly's (like all of the 9xx series). I'm not sure what the pattern on the sth 14 and 16 toes are like, but they're a different style toe from the 12's, so I think they might be a different pattern as well.

The heels are the same on all that I have encountered (although as mentioned above, some have the additional 5th screw). Definitely not the same pattern as look/rossis.

I was under the impression that the sth 12 and 14 used a 3 hole mounting patter in the toe, and that the sth 16 was the same 4 hole pattern as every other 900 series binding for the past decade +. The heel pattern is the same though. The sth 12 and 14 use a beefed up version of the z series toe piece, which has a different mounting pattern than the rest of the solly line up from year's past. I do not think they are the same hole pattern.

All STH heels are 5 holes. The ones with the non driver toe have 3 holes up front, the drivers have 4 holes up front!

As much of a fan of the Sth's and Driver Salomons, the demos are pretty inefficient bindings, a lot of slop and play in them. There are better choices to use.

good to know - I was just thinking if I could re-use the holes form an STH then I would do so. But if the mounting pattern is different and they sort of suck then that's a no go - thanks
