a good question
A letter to the NYT regarding the Abu Ghraib torture and the recent findings about how high up the chain of command the responsibility lies. From a utard no less!
To the Editor:
Let me get this straight. A president can be impeached for having sex in the White House, but we do not fire administration officials or impeach a president for war crimes, human rights abuses and questionable legal practices.
What is wrong with this picture? What is wrong with this culture?

I'd rather have my leader abuse his power by getting head rather then making prisoners give head to each other any dayIts not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care

Gotta admit, you have to give the boy credit for sometimes just saying things in a simple, uncluttered way that actually sums it up quite well.
Now, if we can just reunite him with the lost punctuation keys from his keyboard....“Within this furnace of fear, my passion for life burns fiercely. I have consumed all evil. I have overcome my doubt. I am the fire.”

Pardon? I though President Clinton was impeached for lying about having sex in the White House. Lying to the government can be a big deal. Just ask Martha.Originally posted by natty dread

That's right - he was impeached by the House of Representatives along party lines (the public equivalent of a private citizen being indicted by a grand jury) meaning he had to go stand trial in the Senate.Originally posted by Snow Dog

We should all remember that he was found not guilty, i.e. innocent, UNLIKE Martha Stewart.
We as Americans also must ask ourselves: SHOULD the question have been asked in the first place? If so, what questions should the current Oval Office resident be asked under oath?
