FS: Atomic Speed skis - 238cm - in plastic

I bought these last year to race Arctic Man, and long-story-short, the race director denied us entry with the speed skis, and made us compete on our DH boards. I had just shipped up two pairs of these speed skis and was out a good amount of money and by then it was too late for us to do anything bout it.

yeah, I realize these aren't your standard '150mm-underfoot tgr gearswap' ski, but I thought someone in this crowd could get stoked on this ski, or may know someone who'd be into it. I'd really don't want to sell these on ebay and have them potentially end up in someone's closet when someone here could be out cooking on them. where would you use them? hell if I know. all I know, is you'll need a fair amount of real estate if you're going to let these babies run. here's the specs...

    Atomic Speed Skis 238cm
    Tip: 99mm
    Mid: 81mm
    Tail: 87mm

    ski thickness under foot: 2.5cm
    tip rise off snow: 1.8cm

they have 4 sheets of metal in them, and make a supermojo 103 feel like a wet noodle. they haven't been drilled and are still in the plastic. I just bought two rain-gutters and have made a padded sandwiched case for them to be shipped in. I bought two pairs at the time, so got a deal on them and currently have just under $600 invested in this individual pair. I was thinking $400 shipped for this crowd. seem reasonable? my cabin has limited internet so gimme a few hours to reply to messages.

search main forum for longboard and or radar and you should find any number of potential customers...

Worst case you could use them to support your cabins rafters.;D

    good call,

I will run to UPS and the post office this afternoon and try to get an accurate estimate for a cheaper, slow-boat ship rate. the online calculators are rarely accurate and from my experience, always seem to overestimate when I look up shipping rates to here.

Mount those up with some Dukes. Lots of float in the pow.

Just stopped in to say holy shit. Oh, and I saw a girl on a pair of these at Sunlight in CO. She broke 70. It was awesome.

They accelerate like they have freaking motors, I came out of the trees and saw her coming, so I pointed my 190 w105s, and with my 100 yard head start she passed me before I broke 20.
Congrats, mags! We collected 1030.68! for birdman!

holy shit jedi-master 666. you are making me feel inadequate in my own thread!

I didn't want to put the dukes on these cause I thought they'd be too heavy. was thinking of going the vert FT12 route, and try to save some weight. plus, I can do better kick-turns in dynafits.

I swung into UPS yesterday evening and got ground shipping quotes to a Seattle address and a Denver address. They were both about $42 bucks. I was actually expected a bit more. If the buyer is ok with UPS ground I can go that route as I think that'll be the cheapest.

BOF on CRS or Pins on CC?

One of the Norcallers has to get these for LBD. It is mandatory. And then straight line the wall.

I'm not sure; I personally, can't flex them by hand. If I support both ends of them with blocks and stand on the line, I can get them to flex. I gave the dimensions, but I'm not sure what that translates into for radius. I'm guessing you've gotta be doing a good 60-70mph before you'll be able to get them to do much carving.

this ski is all about sacking up, pointing them and letting them dance. I can sell you them, but I can't guarantee they will turn for you.

I have an older pair of these that are very similar...mine are 240cm, same amount of metal, same dims, etc. You really don't have to be going that fast to turn them, they're not that bad
